Some where along the line, we lose a sense of who we are. We try to find people who sync with us, who will make us feel whole again or the general advice thrown your way is get very busy. Sometimes, you make compromises to stick to a situation, to a person, to a memory and you wonder why people change. Should you change too. But what if everything that let you to this point, made you an opinionated, independent thinker. Will the world respect you, see your value or do you have to fight to be seen. When you are missing your prayers because stressors are upsetting, know that those stressing about are living their life with zero concern about you and who is your saviour if not the Almighty. Never alone, always fulfilled. After running after people who never see your worth, your shine dims, you die a little inside and you begin to question is there something wrong with me if the world embraces hypocrisy why can’t I speak my truth. Do I deserve to be abandoned because I am different, well, I have never succumbed to peer pressure because I was different. It has saved me from a lot of bad decisions but I have always found myself alone. Do I need to stand alone and be deserted if I don’t fit into a mold. If I value people for who they are, how they treat me instead what they do. What if positions, titles, accolades are just mere reflection of your intellect and Allah’s grace but how you treat me speaks volumes about your character. Why was I treated unkindly, unfairly, ghosted. I wonder why I had to change and compromise to be liked and although I tried, I was made to feel always in the wrong while you took no responsibility for your words, your actions or indifference. I realize you need to break to see that you are not broken but you are stronger than ever. You won’t have to explain, plead or wish for the right person to see you, they will be lucky to have you. Don’t waste your time on people who have no time for you.
